For as long as I can remember I’ve felt bad about my weight. In 2nd gradeI had people make fun of me for being a little overweight. Well, in February 2012 I decided I’d had enough and it was time to make some changes. So I made this blog, changed my eating habits, and began to exercise regularly. By the end of March I had lost 20+ pounds and I was so proud of myself, but then Spring Break came. I thought I could give myself a week off and eat whatever I wanted and it all went downhill from there. I tried so many times to get back on track but I always gave up. I gained all my weight back by December and I felt terrible. So starting February 2013 I got back on track. So at 215lb I started my new healthy lifestyle. Again. And this time I won’t let myself give up. It’s no longer just about my weight (although it is a huge part of it) but now it’s more about my health. It’s no longer about what size pants I wear, but how many miles I can run. It’s not about a number on a scale, it’s about feeling better, taking better care of my body, having more energy, and most importantly, learning to love myself.
